Sunday School

For children and youth:

Sunday school is offered at 9:30 AM each week for children from September through June. Classes may be found in the following locations:

Toddlers & Preschoolers: 2nd floor

Grades K-6: 3rd floor (off Wagner Hall)

Grades 7-12: 2nd floor

Which is the 2nd or 3rd floor? As you enter via the bridge from the rear parking lot, go up a half flight of stairs to get to the 3rd floor. Wagner Hall is the first room on the right. From the rear bridge, go down one flight of steps to the 2nd floor. The toddler and preschool rooms, and the high school classroom, are down the hall and around to the right.

For adults:

Lectionary studies are available in either English or Twi. The English-speakers meet in the formal parlor, which is the room immediately east of the sanctuary. Those who speak and study in Twi meet in the basement.

An additional study for adults, using Cokesbury curriculum, meets weekly year-round in the John Wesley room, which is located off the southeast corner of Brewer Hall, our main fellowship area.

NEW for fall 2008: The United Methodist Men (UMM) invite all men to a Sunday morning study group beginning with a series entitled “MEN OF FAITH.” This program begins on Sunday, September 21, and will be held from 9:20-10:20 am; location to be announced. So that we can order a sufficient number of booklets ($6.99 per copy), please contact George Proulx at 508-791-8873 if you plan to participate.

Continuing Class Time for Children

An additional learning opportunity is offered during the 10:30 worship service, year-round. Children attend the first part of the worship service, then following the Time for the Child in Each of Us, may go with Church School volunteers to Wagner Hall for a time of fellowship and study.

Mission Project

The Education Mission Project for 2008-2009 is “OPERATION KID-TO-KID PRAYER BEARS.” As a special hands on way of sharing God’s love, we are going to stuff some cuddly bears to send to children all over the world (and close to home, too) who don’t have plush animals to cuddle. Our hope is to send 100 cuddly bears to children through the International Bible Society, and also make one to keep for ourselves. Every time you hug your Prayer Bear or set it on your bed, you can say a prayer for the children who will receive one of the bears you made. This is a small way we can offer comfort and hope, touching a child’s life with a cuddly stuffed bear and a personalized prayer card placed in the pocket of the bear! Help us reach out to 100 children and share God’s love and hope through our “Prayer Bears” Mission Project. For only $3.00 we can send a personalized bear to a child who will cherish it!
